Private training commissions: iHV training programmes delivered to whole cohorts of staff - commissioned by individual organisations, available online or face‑to‑face.

iHV training models

The Institute of Health Visiting offers a suite of flexible training models - Champion, Ambassador and Direct Training (formerly known as Awareness Training), all designed to meet the diverse learning needs and preferences of practitioners across the 0–19 multi-disciplinary workforce*.

Each model provides a different approach to learning, while all share a common aim: to equip practitioners with the knowledge, understanding, skills and high‑quality resources needed to strengthen practice and, where desired, disseminate learning locally. These options provide choice and ensure our training offer remains inclusive, accessible and supportive of practitioners at every stage of their professional development.
