Little Sparks, Big Starts

This e-learning has been adapted from Kindred² SEEN (Secondary Education around Early Neurodevelopment) Programme, originally created to introduce early brain development to young people through the science curriculum. Building on this foundation, the content has been re-shaped for the health visiting to support practitioners in their everyday work with families.

This is a digital online interactive toolkit that contains resources in a variety of formats to support health visitors and their teams in practice with assessing and promoting HWHN, oral health and physical activity with families. All resources have been quality assured and ethically reviewed. The toolkit has been co-designed with health visitors, their teams and subject experts and contains resources on four topics nutrition, weight, oral health and physical activity.

🔒 Let's Talk Heart Health

Health visitors and their teams are uniquely placed to work in partnership with families, through their universal reach to support early intervention and prevention of cardiovascular risk during the antenatal, postnatal and inter-pregnancy periods. The Let’s Talk Heart Health programme comprises of two core modules and four health topic modules to support you in engaging in helpful conversations with families about current and future cardiovascular disease (CVD) risks for the whole family. There are also a range of resources and fact sheets within the Let’s Talk Heart Health Resources Bank for you to download and use.
