Professor Sally Kendall MBE (Professor of Community Nursing and Public Health at the University of Kent) serves as the iHV's Expert Adviser for Research, tying university-level academics directly to frontline healthcare practice. Professor Kendall has provided support, research opportunities and guidance to the iHV since it was formed in 2012. 
Dr Sharin Baldwin the iHV Senior Research Lead is Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the Centre for Health Services Studies at the University of Kent. The collaboration with the iHV has led to a number of partnership research studies, including an NIHR Public Health Research study.
