This project aimed to provide health visitors and their teams with the knowledge, skills and confidence to support families of preterm or sick babies who required care in a neonatal unit. By combining research evidence with insights gained from our engagement work with families, practitioners and subject matter experts, we developed resources and training that enhance understanding of families' needs and help practitioners provide compassionate, tailored and family-centred support as families transition from hospital to home, and through the earliest years.
