About the iHV Evidence-based Practice Conference
The popular iHV Evidence-based Practice Conference is the largest UK conference for health visiting, bringing together local, national and international experts and place-based leaders to share excellence in health visiting.
Health visiting teams and researchers, both across the UK and internationally, are leading the way in health visiting research and evidence-driven innovations in practice to improve outcomes for babies, children and families. What are the presentation opportunities for abstracts?
The highest scoring abstracts may be selected for:
- A plenary keynote presentation – oral presentation in the main hall (live-streamed), followed by a Q&A panel
- An oral concurrent presentation – presentation in one of our concurrent streams, followed by a Q&A panel (selected sessions are live-streamed)
- A breakout oral presentation (a 6-minute speed talk) – concise presentation to raise the profile of your work (selected sessions are live-streamed)
- A poster display – a visual display in the exhibition hall, ideal for data, project design and findings - with the opportunity to interact with poster judges and delegates during the break time (with an award for the highest scoring poster).
Who can submit an abstract?
We welcome abstracts from:
- Health visitors leading evidence-driven projects or service delivery models
- Health visiting team members involved in service improvement initiatives tackling key public health priorities (e.g. perinatal and infant mental health, oral health, healthy weight and nutrition, infant feeding etc... Full details are provided in the call for abstracts)
- Researchers or academics showcasing cutting-edge developments in health visiting practice, innovation, research or service design.
How are successful abstracts determined?
All abstracts are subject to a peer review by a panel. Allocations within the conference programme and presentation opportunities listed above are based on scoring and topic relevance.
