The iHV supports local areas and services on their own improvement journey through our sector-led improvement partnerships. We apply our deep expertise in health visiting and applied methods, including Experience-Based Codesign, to work collaboratively with local areas to gain a deeper understanding of the lived experience of people, accessing, delivering and leading services. Each project is bespoke and tailored to the needs of the local area - from scoping a whole 0-19 service to helping local areas to tackle specific issues and strengthen services.
Our activities have included: surveys and interviews with staff, stakeholders and families; facilitated discovery workshops with parents/ carers/ stakeholders and 0-19 staff; fieldwork in local settings to gather the experiences of service users; data analysis and evidence-synthesis, with desk-top reviews of local reporting metrics and mapping of service specifications against best practice; production of recommendations and insight reports; and support with staff / stakeholder engagement and mobilisation. Each project is delivered in collaboration with Service Leads and Commissioners and supported a deeper understanding of what’s going well and areas to consider in future service development and quality improvement.
“
"The support from iHV has significantly strengthened the relationship between us as commissioners and providers in our borough. It created the space for open, honest conversations and gave us a shared foundation for workforce improvement.”
