The Institute of Health Visiting (iHV) is an independent professional body, charity and centre of excellence for health visiting – established to strengthen the quality and consistency of health visiting for the benefit of all babies, children, families and communities.

In the context of deteriorating child and family health in the UK, we believe in a better future and that change is possible. We are building strong alliances with partners and organisations who share our vision and values, and want to work together with us to improve health and tackle inequalities. We thank all our partners for their support – together we are making a difference, pushing boundaries for innovation and research, and enabling excellence in practice. Be part of our journey and help turn our shared vision into reality.

We offer a range of partnership and collaboration opportunities that support the iHV’s mission and align with our values.

Partner with us

Partnerships may take many forms:

Organisational partnerships - unrestricted funding: Some of our partners choose to provide unrestricted funding – these flexible grants enable us to respond to emerging needs and ensure that resources are directed where they will have the greatest impact for babies, children and families, and the health visiting services that support them (across all areas of our core business in policy, learning and development, and innovation and research).

Commissioned collaborative project partnerships: We enjoy working alongside partners, parents and practitioners to shape solutions that genuinely meet their needs through an iterative process of co-production during the project and a structured process of test and learn. This ensures that the final products are relevant, practical, and capable of delivering real and lasting impact, whilst balancing flexibility, good governance and accountability (see iHV Innovation and Research section for details).
